We’re Racing To World First With Echo

Race To World First returns and once again, Displate partners up with Echo, one of the best guilds in World of Warcraft’s history.

With the first raid tier of the latest World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion now open, this can only mean one thing: it’s time for Race to World First! Once again, top World of Warcraft guilds across the globe will race to decide who gets to be the first to beat the raid’s final boss on Mythic difficulty.

Displate partners up with Echo Esports, the winners of the last two Race To World First events. We’ll be joining Echo as their official sponsor for a second consecutive year, this time in their efforts to clear the Vault of the Incarnates.

Watch Echo trying to claim the World First for the third time in a row live on Twitch, starting December 13. We’re up for a spectacular race as well as a spectacular charity event, because on top of fighting bosses, Echo will also be raising funds to help people in need!

Race To World First: an esports marathon

Race to World First is one of the most unique events in the esports calendar. Split across 16-hour raid days, it follows top WoW players while they make difficult choices, compete, win, and fail. It’s a full-fledged esports marathon that can last even up to 18 days!

That’s how long it took Echo to claim the first Mythic kill of Jailer, the final boss of last year’s Sepulcher of the First Ones raid. With over 35,000 viewers watching Echo players day after day, it was a spectacular win. You can read all about it in our Race to World First 2021 summary!

On their way to Raszageth the Storm-Eater, this year’s final fight, Echo will raise money for Rise Above the Disorder, a non-profit covering the cost of mental health care for people all over the world.
