We went to TwitchCon Amsterdam and it was epic!

For years now, Displate has partnered with top streamers like Scripe, Alphacast, Elotrix, and TriluXe. It was about time we saw our old friends in person again and made some new ones. And what better place to do that than TwitchCon?💪

It’s been a good few weeks since TwitchCon 2022, but our memories from one of the year’s hottest events are still very much vivid. TwitchCon brings together people who are bursting with joy, creativity and passion and gives them space to express themselves.

Sounds kinda familiar, huh? 😊

Now that you know why we love TwitchCon so much here at Displate, read our report from this year’s Amsterdam event.

Packed with inspiration

Shortly after we passed the TwitchCon gates, we visited the colorful and bustling Artist Alley. It was an open marketplace where illustrators, sculptors, sewers, and many other artists could showcase their works and projects.

You could high-five your favorite artists, buy their artworks and even create your own. The organizers made sure that visitors discovered their new passions during interactive sessions. All this surrounded by new friends sharing the same interests.

Show your true nature

Art was not the only eye magnet at TwitchCon. The other were the participants of this year’s Cosplay Contest who proudly wore the results of their weeks-long efforts. The cosplayers did their best to leave the audience in awe – and believe us when we say they succeeded!

TwithCon turned Amsterdam’s RAI Convention Centre into a feast for the senses. During the event, we were accompanied by live music and top DJs. But if you wanted to sit back and relax, you could do that at the Creator Camp, where experts shared their advice on running social media, interacting with fans, turning passion into business. These sessions and panel discussions were super insightful and offered a good look at the everchanging Twitch landscape.

We also tried out the Loot Cave, played arcade games, and built some Legos! There was soccer, arcade, and even bull riding at the venue. But since Twitch is mostly about video games, you could watch your favorite streamers (and, if you were lucky, meet some of them in person) as well as a live esports competition, complete with commentators, showrunners, and professional teams.

The best place to meet

We had a chance to talk to other visitors and found out that for most of them, TwitchCon was the first big event since the COVID outbreak. No wonder then that they were so excited to be here!

Everyone was determined to use that occasion to the fullest. Fans were eager to catch their favorite streamers at the meet and greet spots, visit brand stands, and have fun TwitchCon-style, with tons of entertainment options available at every corner.

The most amazing thing about TwitchCon is the atmosphere. This is an absolutely amazing place for every geek, where everyone feels very safe and welcomed. Next year, Displate will definitely come back with amazing presents and great vibes and will meet new and old fans.
